Step Into the Light

The Annual Daniel L. Edelstein Step Into the Light Fundraiser for the Johns Hopkins Colon Cancer Center is held each year to raise community awareness regarding colon cancer prevention strategies and to raise money to support cancer research.

Step Into the Light?

Just as Dan's passion for life impacted everyone he met, and helped them to reach their full potential, we are also determined to create a positive impact on the broader community. In spite of colon cancer being the 2nd deadliest cancer in the US, it is literally 10 years BEHIND breast cancer in terms of community awareness, prevention techniques, and screening methods. Numerous misconceptions surround colon cancer screening, and information regarding specific lifestyle modifications to prevent colon cancer are often ambiguous and difficult to interpret and apply to everyday life. Therefore, we ask you to join us as we step into the light... the light of awareness... the light of prevention... the light of LIFE.

With the right information, Colorectal Cancer is Preventable, Beatable, and Treatable.
